PP&Q CLUBS

Check out our clubs - Meet a friend, Learn something new !

Cousin’s Club:

The Cousin's Club meets on the last Monday of each month at 10:30 am - 12:30 pm. It is a chance for you to come have some free classroom time to work on your individual projects, and to have uplifting fellowship with fellow quilters, crafters, and doll makers. We all share and learn from one another.

Regina was the first doll born in our class, then all that have followed, and that will follow are her cousins. That is how our club started and got its name. This class is a gift of two free hours that you give yourself to get projects done, come up with creative new ideas, show off your work and share your ideas with others, and just have fun. If you need to squeeze in a little "ME" time, then this is the class for you. We still have space available. Sign up at PPQ by leaving your name and phone number, and we will give you a reminder call the week before class each month.

Loose Threads:
The Club is a gathering of quilters who share a love of quilting and learn new techniques that help further quilting and piecing skills. There is also show-and-tell, excitement, laughter, and drawings. You never know what will happen or what beautiful quilt you will be seeing or praising each month. The actual sewing of the quilt projects will be done at home after Carolyn and Mary demo the month’s block(s).

Join us on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 10:30 am or 7:00 pm for an hour or two. This year we will be making strip quilts (using jelly rolls are optional) out of the Strip Happy on a Roll quilt book available in the store. The club will be making 3 projects this year with a summer break June-August.

Embroidery Club:
This club is open to anyone who has purchased a Janome Embroidery or Combo machine at PPQ. The club is designed to be fun and enlightening for everyone and a great way to exchange ideas with fellow embroiderers. Every member will also have the opportunity to share his/her finds and designs. Each month the club will decide what to explore next. If you wish to attend, please call the shop and reserve your place. The club meets on the first Tuesday of the month from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the Summerville shop.

Janome Club
The Janome Club meets on the last Tuesday of the month from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm or from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the Summerville store. This club is open to anyone who has purchased a Janome machine from PPQ, but you must call or email the store each month to reserve your spot and your project kit.

Do you want to learn how to do hand or machine appliqué? Do you want to sharpen your appliqué skills? Then welcome to the Applique Club. New members are welcome at any time of the year. Each month there are demos covering tools and/or techniques. Bring a fat quarter of fabric for the door prize drawing. There will also be time to sit and stitch at each appliqué club meeting where individual help is always available, so be sure to bring some hand work. Don't forget to bring something to Show-and-Tell. It doesn't have to be appliqué.
